Data protection

The Fondation Apprentis d'Auteuil International (FAAI) collects and processes the personal data of donors, prospective donors and recipients of external communications as part of the administrative management of donations, donor information, the distribution of external communications and statistical analyses.

This data protection policy tells you how and for what purposes we process personal data and what rights you have in accordance with the applicable data protection provisions.

The protection of your personal data is a priority for us and for all FAAI employees and volunteers. FAAI does not market addresses and complies with the applicable data protection provisions, in particular the Federal Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation.

Definitions

Personal data refers to all information about an identified or identifiable individual, in particular :

  • Personal data (name, address, telephone number, email address, photos taken at events)
  • Activity data (this data is personal data only when it relates to an identified or identifiable individual):
    • contractual data: content of the contract; contractual partners; method of payment, claims arising from the contract
    • Information on donations: date, type, quantity and value of the donation made, means of payment used, paying organisation, history of donations 
    • Data relating to visits to our websites, in particular via Google Analytics and YouTube 
    • Communications by telephone, fax, e-mail, voice messages, text messages (SMS), picture messages (MMS), video messages or instant messaging.

Who is responsible for data processing?

The Fondation Apprentis d'Auteuil International (FAAI) is the data controller under the terms of this data protection declaration.

Personal data of donors, prospective donors and recipients of external communications

FAAI collects and processes the personal data of donors, prospective donors and recipients of external communications in the context of the administrative management of donations, donor information, the distribution of external communications and statistical analyses. The legal basis for this processing is the FAAI's legitimate interest in canvassing and collecting donations and/or legal and regulatory obligations.

Personal data of candidates and employees

FAAI collects and processes the personal data of its employees, i.e. those with an employment contract as well as trainees, volunteers, external service providers, members of the Foundation Board and members of standing or ad hoc committees, for the purposes of recruitment formalities, administrative management and follow-up of the persons concerned, as well as for internal communication purposes or to comply with FAAI's legal and regulatory obligations.

For what purpose do we process the data collected?

Depending on their respective needs, authorised FAAI personnel are recipients of all or part of the data.

We process your data for the purposes of communicating with you, in particular to respond to your requests and to contact you if we have any questions. We process data for the establishment, management and performance of contractual relations. We process data for relationship management purposes , for example to send our donors and other contractual partners personalised information about our programmes, activities or events. This may take the form of newsletters and other regular contact (by e-mail, post or telephone), or through other channels for which we have your contact details. You may refuse such contact at any time or refuse or revoke your consent to be contacted.

Transmission of data to third parties

As part of our activities, we also disclose personal data to third parties to the extent permitted and deemed appropriate. Either because they process it for us, or because they require it for their own purposes. This includes the following organisations:

  • Service providers that we have appointed to process your data (e.g. trustees, banks, insurance companies or public authorities)
  • Our partner organisations (e.g. the Apprentis d'Auteuil Foundation in France, with whom we share some of our data)
  • Authorities, offices or courts.

All are based in Switzerland or in member states of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area.

How do we protect personal data?

We take appropriate measures to ensure the security of your personal data and to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your data, to protect it against unauthorised or unlawful processing, and to minimise the risk of loss, accidental alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access.

How long do we keep data?

We process and retain personal data for as long as is necessary for the performance of our contractual and legal obligations, for the purposes for which it was collected or if we have a legitimate interest in doing so. You may request the deletion of your data for the future by sending an e-mail to faai@apprentis-auteuil.org.

Rights of the data subject

To help you control the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights in relation to our processing of your data, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation:

  • The right to request information from us as to whether we are processing data about you, and if so, which data;
  • The right to request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate;
  • The right to request the erasure of data;
  • The right to request that we provide certain personal data in a commonly used electronic format or transfer it to another data controller;
  • The right to withdraw your consent, where our processing is based on your consent.

If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, you may contact us in writing at our address or, unless otherwise specified, by email. In order to prevent misuse, we must identify you (for example by means of a copy of your identity card, if identification is not otherwise possible).

Website and use of cookies

We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of our website. Google Analytics collects information on the use of the website by means of cookies. This information is used to create reports on the use of our website. Google's privacy policy is available here: https: //policies.google.com/privacy.
